Supreme Court: Importers Bear Burden of Proof for Country of Origin
The Cypriot Supreme Court decided that importers themselves bear responsibility for verifying the accuracy of the country of origin information for their imported products. This decision was made in response to a request from the Attorney General regarding the burden of proof for the actual country of origin of goods.
