Supreme Court Orders Release of Lebanese National
The Supreme Court of Cyprus ordered the immediate release of a Lebanese national who had been held in deportation detention for over 14 months without legal grounds. The court found that continued detention without realistic prospects for deportation is unlawful. The man, born in 1972, had been detained since February 2025.
