Switch to new TV frequencies starting at midnight
Cyprus's private television channels will switch their transmission to new frequencies (35 and 48) and the DVB-T2 standard on the night of July 1, 2026. Viewers must reprogram their reception devices before the switchover to continue receiving their preferred channels. According to Hellas-Sat CEO Christodoulos Protopapas, this is the second digital switchover being conducted in Europe. After the switchover, no broadcasts will occur via the Velister platform.
