Tax exemption increased tenfold in 35 years: from 2,000 to 22,000 euros
The personal tax exemption in Cyprus has increased ninefold since 1991. While it stood at 2,000 pounds (3,417 euros) in 1991, it is 22,000 euros in 2026. A total of nine adjustments to tax brackets were made, in line with inflation and economic development.
