Taxation of global wealth fails due to lack of political will
An interview with economist Panos Tsakloglou addresses the problems of global wealth taxation. While global private wealth is growing at impressive rates, distribution remains extremely unequal. The richest 10% of the world's population controls approximately three quarters of total wealth, while the poorest 50% have very little. Tsakloglou argues that there is a lack of political will for reforms.
