Teachers protest against planned reform measures
Teachers announced a demonstration for Thursday in front of the Presidential Palace to protest new proposals by the Ministry of Education regarding reform of teacher appointments. Education Minister Athena Michaelidou defended the reform plans as fair and balanced. Oelmek teachers' union chairman Constantinos Constantinou confirmed that revised proposals contained changes to some points, but teachers continued to reject the reform.
