The Lion Riddle of Greek Island Kea
The lion sculpture of Kea from the Archaic period, which appears to grow out of the rock on the island of the same name in the Cyclades, represents one of the greatest mysteries of ancient Greek archaeology. The statue is located outside Ioulis, the capital of the island, and its origins and creator remain unexplained to this day.
