Thousands of US Flights Blocked Due to FAA Telecommunications Problem
A failed telecommunications circuit and a severed fiber optic cable grounded thousands of flights in the US on Monday and forced a halt for incoming flights at major airports in New York, Boston, and Philadelphia. The outage coincided with the arrival of 130 world leaders and dozens of ministers for the UN General Assembly in New York.
