Todd Blanche Confirmed as US Attorney General
The US Senate confirmed Todd Blanche, former attorney for President Donald Trump, as Attorney General by a narrow majority of 50 to 49 votes. Two Republican senators, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, voted against the nomination, which was one of the most controversial cabinet votes of Trump's second term due to concerns about Blanche's independence.
