Tourism Industry Suffers from War Consequences and Weak Flight Connections
Cyprus recorded an increase in tourism revenue of 7.4% in the first two months of 2026, but after the outbreak of war in March, the number of Israeli tourists plummeted by 95% - they had spent more than twice as much daily than other nationalities. Concurrently, Cyprus's airports reported a 16% decline in passenger numbers in April compared to April 2025, meaning approximately 95,000 fewer arrivals.
