Trade Unions Denounce 'Slave Market' of Temporary Workers in Hotels
Trade unions SEK and PEO have accused hotels and leisure centers of uncontrolled expansion of the practice of worker leasing, which violates labor laws and collective agreements. The practice extends beyond cleaning staff to include waiters, bar and kitchen personnel, and cooks. The unions are calling on the Labor Ministry to intervene and warn of further measures against the use of third-country workers by employment agencies.
