Traffic Accidents and Heavy Rainfall on Cypriot Highways
Several traffic incidents occurred on Cypriot highways on Sunday due to extreme weather conditions. A vehicle was disabled following a collision on the Nicosia-Larnaca Highway, while heavy rainfall on the Nicosia-Limassol route in the areas of Kornos and Kofinou led to water accumulation on the roadway and reduced visibility. Authorities warned drivers to maintain reduced speed, increase distance between vehicles, and turn on headlights. Intense rainfall affected various parts of the country and caused rivers to overflow and several dams to be filled with much-needed water.
