Traffic minister: Alcohol and drugs behind 24% of fatalities
Traffic Minister Alexis Vafeadis announced that alcohol and drugs are behind approximately 24 percent of all fatal traffic accidents in Cyprus. Mobile phone use while driving quadruples the risk of accidents. New legal regulations for professional drivers are to be introduced in the coming months.
