Tragedy off Cape Greco: Two Boats Sunk, One Dead
Two boats named "Perla Bianca" and "Petsas I" sank off Cape Greco on Saturday, with businessman Dimis Mavropoulos losing his life. Survivor Costas Konstantinou described the dramatic moments of fighting against the rough sea and described Mavropoulos as a close friend. The Ministry of Shipping has begun recovery of the wrecks and contaminants and issued a safety notification for ships.
