Tree Rings Date Bronze Age Palace Fragment in Greece
Scientists used dendrochronology analysis to precisely date for the first time when the palace Agios Vasileios in southern Greece was built during the Late Bronze Age. This method of tree-ring analysis provides new evidence for determining the age of the significant archaeological site, which was previously dated mainly through pottery and human remains. The new study expands scientific understanding of Bronze Age architecture.
