Trees Dying Across Cyprus – Climate Change Primarily Responsible
The Forest Service states that tree deaths across the island are caused by climate change, persistent drought and extreme temperatures, not by government neglect. The phenomenon has become particularly visible in the Athalassa National Forest and is an island-wide problem. The Forest Service is taking measures to address the impacts.
