Trump threatens EU with tariffs over von der Leyen's Canada proposal
US President Donald Trump reacted strongly to Ursula von der Leyen's proposal to admit Canada as an associated EU member. Trump called the idea "ridiculous" and threatened heavy tariffs as well as a limitation of trade with the European Union.
