Turkey and Turkish Cypriots Sign Natural Gas Pipeline Agreement
The Turkish government and Turkish Cypriot authorities signed a memorandum of understanding for the construction of a natural gas pipeline between Turkey and Cyprus. According to Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, the pipeline will originate from the Turkish city of Anamur. The agreement is a significant step toward energy supply for the northern part of the island.
