Turkey links EU relations to Cyprus negotiations
Turkey is demanding concrete concessions from the European Union in bilateral relations before conducting substantial negotiations on the Cyprus conflict. In talks with UN and EU representatives, the Turkish side made clear that it wants to see practical progress in areas important to Ankara before moving forward on the Cyprus issue.
