Turkey Protests EU Resolution on War Crimes
Turkey submitted a letter from the so-called Turkish representative of Northern Cyprus to the United Nations, criticizing a parliamentary resolution from July 8. The EU resolution addresses crimes against Cypriot women and girls during the Turkish invasion of 1974. The letter characterizes the accusations against Turkish armed forces as "unfounded and irrational".
