Turkish-Cypriot Journalist Sevgul Uludag Dead
Renowned Turkish-Cypriot journalist and activist Sevgul Uludag has died at the age of 68. She had been working as a journalist since 1980 and became internationally known for her decades-long research and investigative work to clarify the fate of over 2,000 missing persons in Cyprus, unresolved since the intercommunal conflicts of the 1960s and the Turkish invasion. Uludag was a regular columnist for the Turkish-Cypriot newspaper Yeni Düzen.
