Turkish Cypriots Change Electoral System Before Legislative Election
The Turkish Cypriot Parliament decided to abolish the mixed electoral system. Voters can now only select candidates from a single party in legislative elections. The vote passed with 26 votes in parliament, and the next election is likely to take place in December.
