Turkish Cypriots Commemorate Bombardment of Tillyria in 1964
Approximately 1,250 Turkish Cypriots crossed the Limnitis checkpoint on Saturday heading toward Kokkina to attend the 62nd memorial ceremony for the bombardment of Tillyria by the Turkish Air Force in 1964. The ceremony began at 10 a.m., with Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhurman scheduled to travel to the site by helicopter.
