Turkish opposition condemns mass defections to ruling AKP party
Opposition leader Özgür Özel sharply criticized municipal politicians who defected to the ruling AKP party. He called the defectors "traitors" and "sellouts" at a rally with thousands of supporters in Istanbul. The mass defections represent a political burden for the opposition.
