Turtles equipped with satellite transmitters
The Mediterranean Turtle Research and Conservation Society announced that two sea turtles nesting in Cyprus were equipped with satellite transponders for the first time. A female green turtle and a female loggerhead turtle were fitted with the devices in June at Lara. The public can now track the turtles' movements across the Mediterranean.
