Two house fires caused by candles in Limassol and Larnaca
Two separate house fires in the early morning hours of Monday, caused by burning candles, damaged homes in Kato Polemidia and Livadia. The first fire broke out shortly before 5:30 a.m. in the kitchen of a two-story house in Livadia, with two residents inhaling smoke and being taken to hospital. The fires started from candles left on furniture or pieces of furniture.
