Two Million Euros Missing for Building Safety Measures
The Cypriot State Shareholding Companies (ΕΟΑ) lack approximately two million euros in funds to make dangerous buildings safe. The authority took over the management of unsafe structures a year ago, but is dependent on cooperation with unwilling property owners to finance the necessary renovation measures, however cannot bear these costs from its own resources.
