Two pilots killed in Phantom crash during airshow
Two pilots of the Hellenic Air Force were killed when their F-4 Phantom fighter jet crashed Saturday during a live demonstration at the Athens Flying Week 2026 at Tanagra air base. The crash occurred in the opening minutes of the aerobatic display in front of thousands of spectators. Cypriot Defence Minister Vasilis Palmas conveyed the condolences of the Cypriot government to his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias.
