Ukraine: New Commander-in-Chief After Mass Protests
President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed 43-year-old Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi as the new Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces after days of street protests. This marks the largest restructuring of military leadership since the war with Russia began. Drapatyi replaced the previous commander Oleksandr Syrskyi and brings extensive experience as leader of the Land Forces.
