UN denies report about UNFICYP commander's departure
The United Nations has denied reports that Lieutenant General Mohammad Asadullah Minhazul Alam from Bangladesh is leaving his position as commander of the UN peacekeeping force UNFICYP in Cyprus. A mission spokesperson confirmed that Minhazul Alam is fulfilling his duties as usual and remains in his position.
