Unemployment Rate Increased by 9.7% in September
Cyprus's registered unemployment increased by 9.7 percent compared to the previous year, according to the statistical office. The increase is driven primarily by layoffs in public administration, defense, information and communications sectors, as well as in administrative and support services. The number of registered unemployed reached 8,366 persons.
