UNFICYP commander withdrawn from Bangladesh
Major General Mohammad Asadullah Minhazul Alam from Bangladesh was withdrawn from his duties as commander of UN peacekeeping forces in Cyprus. The withdrawal followed written complaints about his conduct toward mission personnel, who accuse him of inappropriate and harsh treatment.
