US Congress Receives New Calls for Harder Line Against Turkey
Two American foreign policy analysts called on the US Congress on Tuesday to take a firmer course regarding Turkey's policy in Cyprus, and suggested that Washington should explicitly describe the northern part of the island as "under Turkish occupation." The statement was made before the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission shortly before the NATO summit.
