US stock market closes mixed amid high inflation
US stock markets closed on Friday with mixed results as investors processed stronger-than-expected inflation data. The Dow Jones fell 0.56% to 47,916 points, the S&P 500 declined 0.11% to 6,816 points, while the Nasdaq rose 0.35% to 22,902 points. Seven of the eleven sectors in the S&P 500 recorded losses.
