USA strikes Iranian oil tankers in retaliatory strike
US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that American forces attacked three Iranian crude oil tankers on September 5 in retaliation for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's shooting at two naval combat vessels. An American aircraft carrier and a destroyer successfully intercepted the Iranian missiles.
