USA urges Taiwan to pass defense budget
The top U.S. diplomat in Taiwan calls on the opposition-controlled parliament to pass a comprehensive defense budget. The focus is on integrated air and missile defense systems as well as drones, which are in high demand worldwide. Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te had proposed a 40 billion dollar supplementary budget for defense spending.
