Von der Leyen: New EU Framework for Migration and Security
Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced in her State of the European Union address to the EU Parliament a new emergency recognition framework for sudden mass migration. She also proposed the creation of a European Security Council with partners such as Canada, the United Kingdom, and Norway, and warned of the trade deficit with China.
