VW Demands Tariffs on Chinese Plug-in Hybrids
Volkswagen CEO Oliver Blume is calling for swift increases in tariffs on Chinese plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV). The reason is the rapid expansion of Chinese automakers in the European market. Blume is urging the European Union to extend the additional tariff system to plug-in hybrids to protect European manufacturers.
