Warning of fraudulent SMS messages in the name of Cypriot health insurance
The Cypriot Health Insurance Organisation (HIO) and police warn of fake SMS messages posing as the general health system (GESY). These fraudulent messages are designed to trick citizens into disclosing bank details and transferring money. Police report that the fraudulent messages closely resemble GESY messages and are part of a new wave of online fraud.
