Water Crisis in Athens Eases: Mornos Reservoir Triples
The Mornos Dam reservoir in Greece has shown significant recovery in recent months after alarms over water shortages in Athens were triggered in autumn 2025. Water reserves have nearly tripled over approximately six months, significantly easing the water situation for the Greek capital. The artificial water basin is now fuller, and the acute water crisis appears to be subsiding.
