Water shortage in Cyprus: Crisis management and solutions
Water shortage is one of Cyprus's most critical problems and is intensively discussed by the state, scientific community, and civil society. According to Eurostat data, Cyprus was the only EU country in 2022 with severe water shortage, with a water exploitation index of 71%, significantly above the EU average.
