West Nile Virus Cases Rise to Eight
Cyprus has recorded eight cases of West Nile Virus in 2026 so far, with all patients being treated at the General Hospital Nicosia. Seven of the eight cases are from various areas of the Nicosia district and one from Larnaca. Health authorities are conducting intensified mosquito control measures and remain on alert.
