Women's Share in 2026 Parliamentary Election Rises to 29.7 Percent
The share of women in the Cypriot parliamentary election on May 24, 2026 stands at 29.7 percent with 224 female candidacies compared to 529 male candidacies. This marks a significant increase from 24.31 percent in the 2021 election and occurs with a record-high total candidate pool, comprising 100 more candidacies than the previous election.
