Worker dies in silo collapse in Koma tou Yialou
A 46-year-old worker was killed when a 2,500-ton grain silo collapsed in the village of Koma tou Yialou on the Karpas Peninsula. The man was initially rescued alive from the rubble by Turkish-Cypriot rescue and fire brigade teams, but later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The accident occurred on Friday at midday at the grain organization's facilities.
