World Record: Hydrogen Car Exceeds 650 km/h
Andy Green, who broke the sound barrier with his car in 1997, set a new speed record at age 64 with the hydrogen-powered JCB Hydromax. The British ex-RAF pilot reached a speed of 653.908 km/h in the Bonneville Salts in Utah.
