World's Oldest Wedding Cake Displayed in Britain
An 1898 wedding cake is on display at the Willis Museum in Basingstoke, Britain, and is considered the oldest in the world. The masterpiece has survived for nearly 128 years without deteriorating and is suspected to have inspired the literary character Miss Havisham from Charles Dickens' "Great Expectations."
